For those willing to go a bit east–45 minutes to be exact–you can head over to Julian: apple pie capital of the world, overall super-cute art town, and home to one of California’s most famous bed and breakfasts. (Not to mention a San Diego bed and breakfast landmark.)

The Orchard Hill Inn is not for those on a tight budget: you’ll need to fork over close to 200 dollars for a room. But for that cash outlay you’ll get a split of wine, awesome Belgian chocolates, and some totally extravagant toiletries that you’ll be talkign about for days. (Whirlpools are also in some rooms.)

Not only can you head over to nearby Sunset Cliffs, with its beautiful, amazing views, but there’s also downtown OB which has plenty of galleries, boutiques, shops, (awesome smoothie shops) to fill your romantic weekend.

You’d expect there to be a few San Diego b and b’s near the beach—but probably not this close to the beach. Nestled just 500 ft. from the OB pier, this quaint inn in Ocean Beach (San Diego’s answer to Berkeley) is the perfect low key coastal option for couples.
